Roman Pavlyuchenko’s agent thinks Tottenham Hotspur will offload Peter Crouch in the transfer window
After Tottenham Hotspur striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 forward Peter Crouch would most
likely be the striker who would leave the London club in the summer transfer window.
Crouch has already been linked with a host of Premier League sides, including Stoke City, Sunderland and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019. The above mentioned sides are looking to further strengthen their respective squads in the summer and have identified the 30-year-old as a possible
signing. There have been no official offers as yet, but a deal could be underway soon.
Pavlyuchenko’s agent said he was certain Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp would be looking to offload some players in the transfer window. The English manager had to make room before he could make any new signings. The Spurs are amongst the few sides
that have yet to bring in any players during the current transfer window.
Since Tottenham seem to have too many strikers at the moment, Artemov was certain it was highly likely Redknapp would consider selling one of the forwards. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jermain-Defoe-c18359, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Peter Crouch and Rafael van der Vaart currently make
up the Spurs’ strike force and it has become somewhat impossible to keep all five of the strikers satisfied.
Artemov said in an interview:
“I expect to talk nearer to the transfer window's closing time. At the moment he is too busy.
He needs to sell players and to buy new ones. Two or three teams are interested in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peter-Crouch-c29741.
So he is most likely to be the one of the five Spurs attackers to leave.”
Crouch began his career with Tottenham Hotspur in 1998, but left the club just two years later. After spells with various sides, he returned to White Hart Lane in the summer of 2009 on a long-term five year contract from Portsmouth on an estimated fee of
£10 million. He went on to make 42 appearances in all competitions and found the back of the net 13 times.
He had similar statistics in his second season at the club, making 40 appearances and scoring 11 goals. While he has remained consistent in his time at the London club, the other strikers have done far better than him and are most likely not going to be
shown the door. Compared to him, Pavlyuchenko made 39 appearances last season and scored 14 goals.
The 29-year-old Russian international has made it clear that he will part ways with the club if the manager does not offload one of the strikers in the transfer window. To keep him and the other players happy, it is expected that Tottenham Hotspur will soon
be selling Peter Crouch to the highest bidder in the near future.
