Roman achievement in architecture? (10 pts for best answer!)?

Can anybody tell me what the Roman achievement in architecture was (I'm talking early history). I have to write a paper on it and I am not sure if i am on the right track.

The most important to roman architecture...was not articture it's self but CEMENT they invented cement which allowed them to build architectural buildings which cut time in half from traditional stone laying..also they had great paved roads...but the best architecture they did on massive scale all over the world they conqured would to builf  AQAU DUTCS to carry water to any city  they built... they also had great plumbing

  4. Well during the day's of the Republic I would say the aqueduct was a major achievement. They moved water hundreds of miles around there cities.

    During the Empire the coliseum was also a huge achievement.

      Had a sun roof, they could flood the stage for naval battles, animals brought in from every corner of the empire and sometimes beyond there empire.

    Also Hadrian's wall (I think that was in Britannia) was also an impressive feat.

    But there greatest achievement has to be there road's. They used a kind of concrete and a good many of there roads still exist or formed the basis of many roads in Europe today.
