  1. You could try something simple like grilled steak (or even chicken) with baked potatoes and salad.

Or you could could anything Italian (I think Italian food is always romantic)!!!  A pasta dinner with a parfait of strawberries and whipped cream would be nice.

  2. my favorite!! http://carmineristoranteitaliano.dgte.ph...

  3. spaghetti bolognese-fresh ingredients-very easy-quick to cook-everybody makes spag bol different so you will easy impress-give it a go-good luck.

  4. Just make the effort mate. Find a recipe from the Internet with ingredients you know your girlfriend will like and give it a go at cooking the meal yourself.

I'm sure your girlfriend will appreciate it knowing you made the effort and you might even surprise yourself.

You could buy some candles, nice wine and think about background music to set the mood. Good luck.

  5. Buy a frozen lasagna (do you have Stouffer's there?  It's the best...)

Put the lasagna in your own baking dish that you've sprayed with no-stick spray, two of them side by side if necessary.  Cook according to package directions.  Remove lasagna from oven, top with shredded mozzarella cheese, pop back into the oven until cheese melts and is bubbly.  Remove and allow to rest at least 15 minutes before attempting to cut and serve.

Buy pre-mixed salad in a bag from the market.  Rinse a box of grape tomatoes and add to salad mix in a large bowl.  Have bottled Italian dressing to top it.

Buy a loaf of Italian bread at market/bakery.  Slice that up and have real butter alongside, softened a bit is good, just take it out of the fridge when you put the lasagna in the oven.

Serve that with a bottle of chianti or sangiovese if you're wine drinkers, inexpensive is fine, don't pay more than about $8USD a bottle.  Consider having grape juice spritzers if you don't drink.  This is just grape juice poured over ice (halfway up glass) and topped with club soda or sparkling water, stir and serve.

For dessert, buy packaged biscotti and have fresh strawberries alongside that.  All you have to do is wash them.  A bowl of whipped cream (yes, you can use Cool Whip, just remember to thaw it in the fridge several hours before you plan to serve it)  Coffee or vin santo for dipping the biscotti if you choose...

This is simple to do, provides a romantic meal for two, and the best part is that you really did cook it yourself!  (Not totally from scratch maybe... but she'll be impressed at your effort)  :)
