Romantic excursion...?

My husband and I will be celebrating our anniversary. Due to conflict of schedules, we are unable to embark on a long journey. What are some delectably exquisite dining areas in Charleston, SC; Atlanta, GA; Nashville, Tenn. or Key West, Fl. area?

I can't answer your dining questions, but I can tell you emphatically:  DO NOT drink the water in Key West.  I spent my honeymoon on the toilet there, which was not a very romantic excursion.  Happy anniversary.   I am sure every place you go will be romantic.  P.S.:  If you are not really committed to the Key West experience, I would recommend St. Augustine, Florida.  Now THAT'S romantic.   Yes, I am from Florida.

What about Dante's Down the Hatch in Buckhead (Atlanta)?    If you are into a romantic fondue dinner, this is the place to go.  The restaurant is set up like a ship, with dim candlelights, etc.  I love going for the atmosphere.  The pictures are bright for photos, but the atmosphere is dim and romantic for dinner.   The food was good but it's the atmosphere that gets you.

Also, my husband and I love McCormick & Schmick's in Dunwoody, GA for fresh seafood.  It is a chain, but the menu is printed daily.  

If you can swing North Carolina, Asheville is a great place to go as well, we spent half our honeymoon there.  Visiting the Biltmore Estate is a must.  Richmond Hill Inn in Asheville is a secluded romantic (but pricey) inn with 4 star restaurant, afternoon tea and wonderful breakfast.

If money isn't a major object, stay at the Ritz Carlton Buckhead, and eat at the Dining Room.  The food is incredible, the service spectacular, and overall a very romantic, wonderful experience.    Have breakfast in bed the next morning.    A couple nice add-ons for a romantic anniversary is the rose petal turn-down (housekeeping fills the bed with rose petals when they do evening turn down), and the bath butler, who will come run a romantic bath with candles, scents etc.  Both can be arranged through the concierge.

If you just want to stay somewhere else in Atlanta, some very nice romantic restaurants are Restaurant Eugene and Home and Bacchanalia.   A really incredible, over the top experience is Quinones, which is part of the Bacchanalia restaurant, but serves only a tasting menu, which is just amazing.

One more suggestion outside the Atlanta area is the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation, about 1.5 hours east of Atlanta, on Lake on Lake Oconnee.   Beautiful remote experience, get a massage at the spa, hang by the pool, and enjoy very good (but not great food).  Very romantic, and Ritz service.

If in Atlanta, definitely go to the aquarium.

Asheville, NC is romantic and full of yummy restaurants. If you're into hiking there are great hikes around there.
