If you like or wish to taste French food, I would recommend "L'Angelus" (85 club Street Tel [phone]) France south west cuisine mostly or, with a higher budget, "le Saint-Pierre" which mixes French and Japanese cuisine (3 Magazine Road, #01-01 Central Mall, Singapore 059570 tel [phone]).

Vietnamese cuisine is also very good if you like the type.

I agree with lk_sf's suggestion of cooking at home for her.  You'll really impress her with your willingness to work hard for her.  Plus you can control the atmosphere and the food.

If you do not cook a lot, I suggest that you go with something simple yet elegant.  Pasta with a homemade tomato sauce, made from fresh tomatoes, is quite easy.  Here's a recipe:

Buy some good Italian bread from BreadTalk to go with your meal.  Warm it up in the oven and have butter with the bread.

Make a nice tossed salad, maybe some wine, and Ben and Jerry's for dessert.
