can someone tell me why angela zhang(xiao mai) has to marry jin(wu zun)?

i didnt get it when cai(calvin chen) set up plan for them to get married

Xiao mai has to marry Jin because of all the four guys it's only Jin who is qualified being the successor of the Emp. Since xiao mai is the granddaughter of the Emp so she has to marry the successor of Emp, but none of the four guys doesn't want to become the successor of Emp (including JIn), so Cai has to set a plan for them to make sure that he(cai) wouldn't be the sucessor of Emp.

But at the end, none of the four guys become the successor but instead xiao mai became the successor herself and was sent to America to study  about CEO..
