  1. TACO BELL!!!! after you eat, go ice blocking down a big hill with a bunch of friends!! it is so much fun, trust me!

about the taco bell thing, just kidding, i dont know any where romantic to eat in Barcleona! i dont live there

  2. Go to Els Quatre Gats, Montsio, 3 bis 08002 Barcelona. It's close to Plaza Catalunya. I've lived here in Barcelona for 9 years and this is a really nice place to go to. I would recommend reserving a table (the web site is: www.4gats.com)

There is a lunch time set menu for 12 euros and although I prefer it at night it's more expensive then. It's a famous restaurant where artists meet up and has a lot of history. The good thing about it is that it's in the centre and easy to find.

A good tip for you when you arrive here is to pick up a copy of the metropolitan magazine which is in English (you can get it at various pubs, restaurants and hotels around the city) it has a list of things on and restaurants to go to.

Have a great time here in Barcelona and remember that if you go to any of the restaurants on Las Ramblas you can expect to pay through the nose for something better quality and cheaper just a short walk away.

  3. You can go to el bosque de las hadas, next to the wax museum (Underground L3 green - Drassannes)

Then you can walk the little streets of the old cities and choose a nice restaurant. I don't recommend you anyone in particular, believe me, the best for you would be watching them yourself before choosing one, until you find one which you like. There are quite romantic ones over there. And the walking makes it more romantic.

  4. we loved the little tapas bars in bari gotic. there are lots, and you can look through the window to see what the food looks like.

and, being tapas, you eat as much or as little as you want.

for somewhere less romantic, but wonderful, go to the cerveseria catalana, just north of the plaza catalunya.

but whatever you do, DON'T eat in the restaurants at the other end of the wavy bridge in the port. terrible tourist rip offs.

    enjoy

  5. Try Can Culleretes in C/Quintana 5.

Go down the Ramblas towards the sea.Turn left down C/ Ferran between KFC and McDonalds and it's second on the left.

Closed Mondays. Lunch is 1.30 to 4. Dinner starts at 9 o'clock.

Choose carefully and you will find the place a bargain. The wine is exceptionally good value.

P.s. Maybe not really romantic (she says!) but popular with young couples, (for romantic you pay a premium) but super typical and great value.

Try the marc de cava sorbet for afters and try to get back to the hotel!

  6. Interesting.

Have you noticed how everybody on Yahoo Answers are always asking things like "Where can I get cheap accommodation? or "What's the cheapest way to get from New York to Timbuckthree" or "Where can I get free music downloads" etc etc

You never see anyone ask "What's the best hotel in Boston? I don't care how much it costs," or "Where can I get First Class travel that serve Champagne and gives you your own personal lap top dancer"

Nope - it's either cheap or free.

Why do only people with no money use Yahoo?

I wonder if it's the same over on Google?

    Interesting.
