Romantic w/e away suggestions thats in a warm beachy location other than the obvious brissy & cairns???

Question

can anyone tell places i can go for a romantic w/e away thats in the east region of australia??

no snow ideas please. can anyone suggest a place they went to thats got great weather?? anywhere from NSW or Qld or anywhere in the small islands near it too to escape the cold winter other than brissy or cairns.

Rainbow Beach..

we went there recently and it is beautiful and I imagine romantic (we took our kids on school holidays).

It is a small town and the beaches are wonderful and private.  I would love to go there with just me and hubby out of school holiday season.

The Whitsundays would be lovely but not just for a weekend.

Manly makes for a nice romantic weekend away, my bf took me up there once (only once =( ), most of the time the weather is good, you can take a cruise or rent a yacht for a picnic lunch.

I know Jamberoo Valley Lodge have a great deal if you have a budget, its not the warmest place though. They have dinner, bed and breakfast for a couple on a Friday or Saturday night $165.
