Question:

Rome, Italy ?

I want to do a academic year language course in Rome ( ive been there before and loved it - but i know how big it is ) but i plan to stay in Italy afterwards so i want to be able to make local friends and really build a life their - is this a good place to go or would you suggest a smaller city e.g Siena or Florence.

  2. If you are going to do a year in Rome for study, why not take the opportunity to travel to different locations while you are there? I found that its easy to meet people everywhere as long as you are pleasant and approachable. When I was there the train system was great and inexpensive, a good way of seeing the country. Chances are you'll have a tough time deciding where you want to live because its all beautiful.
