Rome. Holiday. Where can I...?

hello, i'm going to rome in oct. would like cheap fares but am unsure as to where i can get them! also, i would like to reside in a fairly nice, yet cheap hotel for 2 people. will only be away for a couple days and have a budget of around £400 give or take. please tell me of any good places i can find a bargain? thanks!

while there, get them to send you to the Ristorante All Hostaria... get the card and get a discount at the hotel desk..... I promise you... the food is Great,,, not expensive,,, its small kind of,, and about 1 and half blocks away .....

this hote is about 3 blocks from the front of the Central Trainstation in Rome.....on the left....from the station....

  Watchout for the pickpockets there,, in Rome ,, they are very good at their trade...No Kidding.......

go to the Vatican,,, go EARLY to see the Systine Chaple,,, Long lines and open only certain days...... wear comfortable shoes....lots of walking in there,, 4 hours even before you get to the chapel...not kidding again.....

See the colosseum and foyer,,Spanish Stepps,, and have a great time,,,,,,,

I flew back from Rome with Easyjet in 2004, it was pretty cheap - that was to east midlands but sure it would include manchester, london, etc. We camped which was ace but perhaps not in october?! So sorry, don't know any hotes, but you could try www.bargainholidays.com as we found a great marriott hotel through this site on a visit to amsterdam for new year.  I've always found it cheaper to book flights and hotels separate, but you could get a good 'city break' deal... Whichever way, the earlier you book the cheaper it will be... Have fun!
