Will be in Rome August 3rd to the 6th. Will the tourist season be in full swing by then or will I have a chance of missing it. Do any of the yearly sales at the end of June carry over to the first week of August

  1. Hi, I live in Rome and work in the tourist industry. High season in Rome is September, October, Christmas and March through June. August is definitely not high season because not many people come to Rome that time of the year, being that it's so hot. Try booking your accommodation on venere.com, they have the largest database of hotels in Rome with online booking, and also the cheapest.

  2. From my experience, Italians have emptied out of Rome and everyone else is there vacationing. And it will be bloody hot. So, just be prepared. And keep an eye on your wallet, lots of pickpockets when the streets are busy. But the churches and museums are nice and cool inside!!

  3. It will still be high tourist season.  Sorry!

  4. I've been to Rome and yes it's not full season.

That is because the sun is outthere to sunburn you if you are not very careful and because the italians leave for their holidays. About sales, nope, you won't find them in august. Sorry
