Rome.......?

Question

I'm an italian girl, I live in Rome.. Who ever been in Rome? what do you think about my city? Is it the best city of the world? ...let me know "pro" e "contro"!!

I was in rome in October, i thought it was a beautiful historic city. I loved the colleseum and the vatican, but the city is overrun by tourists.

And the drivers are crazy : %

Too much graffiti, garbage, and scamming, but not enough good food.  Otherwise a beautiful place.

I went to Rome and Milan for my Birthday last year and had a wonderful time in both cities!! Italy is an amazing country. I loved Milan for the shopping and spent way too much money but I loved the history surrounding Rome, hated the amount of tourists!! Hated the people selling fake designer items!! But Rome was my fave of the 2!! You stumble accross so many great places just by walking round the back streets!! And as a mozorella fan I was in my elemant!! They had it with everything!!

Rome is great, I would love to go again!

It is a place I have always wanted to go to.  I would love to see the Flavian Amphitheatre and the other historic sites.  I think that the actress Asia Argento lives in Rome, I like her because she is confident and pretty.  

I think I shall visit Rome in 2009, when I have some money.

i been there a few mouths ago when i was going to Sicily and the from the window, Rome, Italy is beautiful and warm too.I like Sicily too,even at the massinca(i hope i spelled that word right "massinca".My family are Sicilians.My family lives at Sicily but i am from America at new york.new york is a nice place too, even the city is nice.My sister been there with her boyfriend for the new years eve.

hi i am a singapoeran who has been to rome for holiday and i must say it was wonderful! the feeling i get from there is just undescribable.. i wish i could go there again.. and stay a bit longer to soak up the roman feeling!!  i love italia =D

I'm 27 and have been to Rome five times so far.  It's one of my favorite places!  Rome has the most amazing sites and history and everything is so old.  Love the forum, colliseum, nightlife, or just getting lost in the winding streets. Coming from the U.S. where nothing is is older than say 300 years, it's unbelieveable to me.  Rome has an amazing energy and every time I go, I can't wait to go back!

Visited Rome two years ago in January. I love Italian people and their attitude to life. I like the food and drink. Everybody should travel in a taxi in Rome at least once in their life! However some things in Rome were VERY expensive and the Underground trains went on strike, which was a real pain. I used to travel with F1 and there are other places I have been that are better than Rome, sorry. My favorite city is Buenos Aires.

Rome is indeed one of the most beautiful cities in the world....I lived there most of my life ( well I was born at the Gemelli Hospital and lived in Monte Mario 'til I was 23 and then left...)

I have now been living in England for 10 years and I always look back at the good memories I have about my country...and there are a few things that I DO miss (probably good food is the main one!!)

BUT...I would never go back to Rome and live there....the mentality is still a bit old-fashioned in many ways and the pace of life is so much slower than the one we have in London...

Not to mention the fact that if you have a job in Italy, you need to do your best to hold on to it (which makes you miserable) because if you lose it then you are in big trouble (whereas here in the UK you can change job for fun)...

Having said that, the history and the beauty of Rome are without the shadow of a doubt the most impressive in the world!!

P.S. "pro e contro" in Inglese si dice  "pros and cons" ...

I always think Rome is a great place, althought I'm only going in June. I'm a gal solo bagpacker from Asia that goin to my dream place-->> Europe, maybe you can show me around Rome. Yup, I'm reiko.

i want to go to rome someday. my grandpa grew in bari, italy i cant spell it that good though lol. but it looks really nice
