  1. hi,i'm an italian boy and i can say you that the travel is about of 2 hours with eurostar(the speediest italian train)...you can leave from rome in the morning and return in the evening but to visit florence a day is too little!....

  2. Yes we ordered our ticket before we left, we took the fast train it was about 1 and a half hours I think the slow one is 3 hours.

  3. The travel time is 1 hour and 45 minutes

  4. It takes about 2 hours by train. You could do it in one day, but you would only have time to take a look around without entering museums. There are usually long lines and it takes a while to visit them.

  5. It takes about 1 hr 36 min on a Eurostar and up to 3 hr 40 min on a slow regional train. You can easily do a day trip from Rome to Florence using the Eurostar. I go to Rome for the day from a town 2 hours north of Florence. You can check specific schedules here: http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/ferrovi...

  6. Yes you can go to Florence from Rome, tool around for a few hours and get the train back to Rome.

You can get tickets at any travel agent in Rome or just go to the Termini Station (the main terminal) in Rome.

I believe it IS about an hour and 45 minute ride thru the countryside to get there.........Just be a little early for everything to give you time to clear up any confusion.

It really is easy once your done but your confidence level is low starting out........Have fun!
