  1. there probably is..i went on a trip from rome to sorrento and then we went to pompeii and herculaneum

im sure its a trip many people want to go on...

    about 2-3 hours i think...can't quite remember

it's very interesting there, 2 story houses survived, unlike in pompeii

    hav fun

  2. i have just come back from rome ,fab city,im prety sure there is but its goin to be a couple of hours journey at least

  3. It's quite a long way.  I suggest you take the train from Rome to Naples and take a bus or a local train from there.  Timetables are at http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/ferrovi...

  4. You can take the train from Rome to Naples and then change to the Circumvesuviana train. Herculaneum is the Ercolano - Scavi stop on the same train that goes to Pompeii. The trip from the Napoli Garibaldi station to Ercolano - Scavi is 17 minutes and costs 1.80 euro.

You can check schedules and prices or trains from Rome to Naples here: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html The fast trains take an hour and a half to two hours depending on the specific train. A regional train takes about two and a half hours.
