Romeo Neo storms to victory in the 515m Grade A3 race at Hove

Romeo Neo stormed to victory in the 515 metres Grade A3 race at Hove on Sunday, January 22, 2012. He was the favourite to win, and lived up to the expectations of the bettors, who invested money on him.

The cash prize for winning the event was £124.
Last few races have not been good for Romeo Neo, but he was still rated as the favourite for this event. He ran pretty decently and did not allow anyone come close to him.
The triumphant greyhound completed the race distance in 30.14 seconds, after breaking in from trap number six.

He had a starting price of 9 to 4 and the bettors would have earned some easy money over his performance.
Romeo Neo was trained by J. E. Gammon, and is the son of Collision out of Fabulous Lourdes, born in July 2009.
Although no other hound was able to challenge the race winner, there was a very stiff competition down the order.
Second place went to Greenacre Babs, who covered the overall distance in 30.56 seconds, after popping out from trap number. She had a starting price of 6 to 1, and she is trained by B. A. Clemenson.
Greenacre Babs’ victory earned her a cash prize of £35. She took the second place by just a head’s distance. She was born in September 2007, to Hondo Black out of Greenacre Lin.
Fabulous Fashion, another hound trained by J. E. Gammon, took the third place. She covered the total distance in 30.58 seconds, after breaking in from trap number five, with a starting price of 7 to 2.
Fabulous Fashion is the daughter of Fabulous Snowy out of Bright Ebony, and was born in January 2010.
Fourth place was taken by Cuteen Dazal, who fell short by a head’s distance to the third placed b***h.

He went into the race from trap number three with a starting price of 9 to 2, and covered the total distance in 30.60 seconds.
The fourth placed dog was trained by A. E. Gardiner and is the son of Razldazl Billy out of Water Girl, born in December 2007.
Perles Orchid and Karma Paddy completed the order of finish, taking fifth and sixth place, respectively. The latter was unable to complete the race distance.
Overall, the race was an exciting one, as there was a tough battle between the greyhounds that finished between the second and fifth place.
