Romeo Recruit and Millroad Scolari battle it out in the Grade OR Williamhill.com 4th Derby Trial Stakes Div E
Wimbledon will host the Grade OR Williamhill.com 4th Derby Trial Stakes Div E on 14th April, 2012. Millroad Scolari and Romeo Recruit will race as joint favourites, with the odds of 5 to 2 for £150 over 480 metres.
Romeo Recruit, son of Bombastic Shiraz, out of Fabulous March, competed at Wimbledon on 21st March, 2012, and finished as a runner-up. He lost the race to, Holycross Prince, by a narrow margin of ½ a length over 480 metres.
His trainer, D. Firmager, took the black hound through two solo runs to enhance his speed and build up his stamina. He covered 480 metres in 28.73 seconds at Wimbledon on 4th April,
2012.
He ran a solo at Nottingham on 9th April, 2012, where he covered 305 metres in 18.12 seconds.
Romeo Recruit ended his previous season with a massive victory. He entered the race with the odds of 9 to 4, and defeated the race favourite, Ardmayle Driver, by 2 ¾ lengths in 29.83 seconds in the Grade OR Coral Sussex Puppy Trophy - Heat 3 at Hove
on 15th December, 2011.
Millroad Scolari, son of Droopys Scolari, out of, Amigan Girl, finished thrice as a runner-up at Wimbledon. His trainer, E. McNair, is hoping that he will finally break out of his consistency and bag a victory today.
He was defeated by, King Jaffa, on 28th March, 2012, by 2¾ lengths over a distance of 273 metres in 16.36 seconds.
He lost to King Jaffa again, this time by a much narrower distance of ½ a length on 4th April, 2012, in a race that covered 480 metres in 29.10 seconds.
He lost to King Jaffa the third time on 11th April, 2012, by ¾ of a length over 480 metres, which the victor completed in 28.77 seconds.
He succeeded at Wimbledon on 28th February, 2012, in the Grade OR William Hill New I-phone App Standard Div 2. He entered the race with a slim chance of winning but defeated, Yahoo Jamie, narrowly by ¾ of a length and claimed
the victory.
Today, both these hounds will go head to head and try to cross the wire first. Millroad Scolari looks like he could excel based on his familiarity with the track at Wimbledon, but Romeo Recruit is not to be under-estimated.
