Romford: Bags/Sis 500 Final – Preview (Part 1)
The high-profile greyhound racing event, Bags/Sis 500 Final, will be held at Romford on Thursday, February 2. The Grade A7 race on 400m long track will start at 17:22. The prize money for the final clash will be £500.
The race has reeled in six hounds, including Chunkie Blue, Alrita Millie, Premarket Babe, Ivys Star, Out Ang Gone and Selecta Mask will fight for the glorious title.
On this forum, Bettor.Com presents an exclusive preview of the race based on the key career records, and salient features of each of the six runners. This pre-race analysis will assist the bookmakers to stake their money on the hounds who have more
chances to win.
Following is the analysis of the racers one by one:
Chunkie Blue
Trained by M Lucas, Chunkie Blue is a veteran runner with a number of important events coupled with splendid victories to his credit. Whelped in March 2009, the Blue dog made his debut on September 21, 2010. Since the last couple of months, the son
of Ace Hi Rumble and Stoneyslim Lady has been somewhat out-of-form, winning just one race with a slight margin.
The dog’s last victory came at least 7 races ago. Despite being the 5 to 2 favourite in his last race, Chunkie Blue finished third. In his second-last race, he was 7 ¾ lengths short of the winner, and finished third.
As a whole, the dog’s success ratio is below average. Thus, he is not likely to make any big impact tomorrow. He may finish third provided he applies sufficient force against his competitors.
Alrita Millie
The white and black b***h won her last race on December 20, 2011. Since then, she has been losing, though with less margins. The M Wiley-trained hound has been in consistent form throughout her career, which began on October 27, 2009. The daughter
of Westmead Hawk and Droopys Millie lost her very first race with a big margin of 7 ¾ lengths.
Overall, the b***h has won 10 races, and has earned the favourite tag for at least nine times so far. As far as the Thursday’s final is concerned, she does not seem to be in a position to fight for the top spot. However, if she exhibits good spirit,
she may finish second or third. The b***h was whelped in May, 2008, and she will break from trap number 2.
Premarket Babe
Trained by M Lucas, the blue b***h won her last race on January 9 after a long losing streak of 10 races. She was sent as the 5 to 2 favourite for his last success. The daughter of Droopys Maldini, out of Roxholme Babe commenced her career on July
6, 2010. In the middle of her career, she endured a severe lean patch, but bounced back strongly after that.
At the moment, Premarket Babe is enjoying the momentum she gained from January 9’s triumph. She may prove to be a sturdy fighter tomorrow, and has four percent chances to even win the contest. It is up to her how she capitalises on her form.
