Romo with the 7th overall pick?????

Question

Standard Yahoo league. A person (not a friend) in my league drafted Romo 7th overall. He says its a good pick and I think it is dumb. The 1st 6 picks went like this:

1. LT

2. AP

3. Westbrook

4. Addai

5. Gore

6. Brady

Please be specific and give an explanation why this was a good pick or why it was a dumb pick. Also if you disagree who should he have taken. I say Steven Jackson. Thanks.

prob should have waited till the 2nd round but some people want to make sure they get certain players they like. plus i think romo will put up some huge numbers this year.

It depends on the settings.  If it's a two QB league, Romo is a decent pick there.  

Since you say it's a standard Yahoo league, it's a bit of a reach, but it could be worse.  Would I rather have Tony Romo on my team than Steven Jackson?  Yes.  Would I have drafted him with the seventh overall pick?  Probably not, because he probably could have drafted an elite WR or RB in the first round, and have gotten Drew Brees or at least Carson Palmer in round 2.

it's fantasy football and anything can happen. i wouldn't take romo in the first round at all but, last year i took sean alexander as the seventh pick (which wasn't bad last year) and then he got hurt, as far as that goes ,last year, i would have rather had romo seventh instead of sean. in my big money league i couldn't believe the draft went like this:

1 LT

2 brady

3 moss

4 westbrook

5 AP

6 romo

7 ...?forgot?

8. peyton

9...?

10 portis(my pick up)

11 lynch(my pick up) (i wasn't complaining)
