Ron Artest's impact?

Question

So we all know Artest is coming to Houston (if nothing changes in the next 16 days)

What I'm curious is where you guys think Artest will fit?

Obviously no matter what, the Rockets will have a deep bench with Landry, Barry, and now one of their starting 5 or Artest.

Will Artest get Battier's job?

Should the Rockets sacrifice ball movement and have Alston sit down?

Will Artest willingly defer to Yao and McGrady as prime scoring options, and take a second option role?

Will Artest's explosive personality poison the Rockets' locker room?

Any other comments welcome too.

Thats a very good question...and i wonder the same. Ron Artest was the star on the Sacremento Kings, the leading scorer, and best defender. When he goes to Houston, he wont be "old reliable" as he was with The Kings; They have T-Mac and Yao allready for that. He will effect the playing time of Battie because he is more tenacious on both sides of the floor. I think Battie will be at least 6th man off the bench. What worries me is Artests personality/attitude. I still remember the Pistons-Pacers fight, (hilarious) and all thats happened after, and I think that his personality was brought into consideration, and the Rockets r hoping that Artest can co-exist w/ t-Mac and Yao. I personaly think this will be the biggest problem, cus all 3 will want the ball, and Artest attitude reveals he usually gets what he wants

with that said, I think the Rockets will struggle at first. team chemistry will be built, and then they will adept to their rotation and kick a$$. Sense the trade,  i have moved them up from 5th in the west to second, behind the Lakers. I still think the Hornets will win the West.

I think that he has a lot of impact on our team. He will make the defense go through the roof. Houston is already known for how we are the 2nd best team in the league for defense. Shane Battier can shut down almost anybody. Now put Ron Artest on top of that and I think our defense is just as good as the Celtics.

I think Artest will finally settle down and start to act like a civilized person. He is with his favorite coach and he is also with two superstars. They also have a great bench
