Ron Ellis looking for big chunk in Breeders’ Cup with three entries
The renowned American trainer, Ron Ellis, is hoping to get a big chunk from the next month’s Breeders’ Cup as he has prepared three of his pupils like Include Me Out, Rail Trip and Teddy’s Promise for the high-profile 2-day tournament that will go down at
Santa Anita.
Ellis seems to be quite satisfied with the preparations of the talented trio and he claims that each one will come up to his expectations.
For the richest American horseracing event, that will be held during November 2-3, all of Ellis’ three trainees did an extensive workout on Tuesday at Betfair Hollywood Park.
According to the trainer, the trio has summed up immense confidence and firepower with this exercise, and these things will prove to be greatly helpful in the Cup.
Include Me Out is well-familiar with the race venue she will face next month as the bay and brown filly marvellously registered two classy triumphs over there earlier this year.
On January 23, the Jay Em Ess Stable owned young sprinter bagged the ace title of La Canada Stakes (Grade 2) (Fillies) (Dirt) by beating Great Hot with the big margin of 4 ¼ lengths.
She moved on to win Santa Margarita Invitational Stakes (Grade 1) (4yo+ Fillies & Mares) (Dirt) on March 17. This time, she outplayed Love Theway You are by 3 ¾ lengths.
Both were convincing performances. She stood third in her last trip to Santa Anita on September 30.
Thus, it is hoped that the fervent filly will make a big impact in this Breeders’ Cup. Her workout was also perfect.
Rail Trip is set to show his guts in the Dirt Mile race of the fabulous festival. The veteran bay gelding has 5 victories off 16 starts.
About three years ago, he started his career from Santa Anita with the title of Santana Mile Handicap (Pro-Ride).
His last victory came on July 29, 2012 when he beat the hot-favourite candidate, John Scott, to win San Diego Handicap (Grade 2) (Polytrack) at Del Mar.
Teddy’s Promise too has enough firepower to show in the event. So, Ellis will definitely achieve a lot this time. Good luck to him.
