Chelsea’s chief executive, Ron Gourlay has gone on to indicate that the club are still in the transfer market and are more than likely going to continue their spending spree.
The Blues have already gone on to spend over sixty million pounds this summer, but it doesn’t seem like the team are going to be stopping their spree just yet.
Despite having signed players such as, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oscar-c28720, the team is still looking to add players to its existing roster, in order to create more depth and to build or the future.
Gourlay, when talking about the team’s plans for the future and their hopes of landing more players is reported to have said: "If the right players become available at the right time we will sign them."
"We've done that and we are still continuing to look at one or two positions and we will see how that develops over the next couple of weeks."
Having won the UEFA Champions League last season, the team is looking to build on that success and prove their worth in the league.
The team is aiming to win the Premier League crown this coming term and Gourlay went on to hint at this fact, as he added: "While we ended with a very strong season, it was clear that there were some areas where we did have to strengthen, so we knew we were
always going to have to do that."
With so many new players already coming into the team, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo is going to have his work cut out for him this coming season.
He is going to have to make sure everyone gets ample playing time in the squad, while making sure that the team gets the best possible results.
The manager wasn’t able to get the team very far in the league standings, but with the new players in the squad, he is more than likely going to help them improve on the sixth place finish from last season.
It is now a wait to see just how the Blues perform this coming season and whether they can build on their success from last season or not.
