Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay has confirmed that interim manager Roberto Di Matteo could have to wait for confirmation regarding his position at the club.
The club’s owner Roman Abramovich has refused to rush into a decision over the manager of the club, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo’s future hanging in the balance. Many believe the Italian boss deserves a permanent position at the club after leading them to the

It has emerged that Abramovich could offer Di Matteo a one-year contract on a trial basis, which would allow him to approach other managers at the same time. Gourlay said in an interview:
“We now need to sit down over the next week or two, or however long it takes, because we have to do what's right for the club.
I know the fans will be pushing for Robbie.
We're going to look at the season, look at what worked for us, look at the mistakes we made and put them right and take it forward.”
Di Matteo will be a free agent at the end of June if the Blues don’t offer him a new contract. He has been linked with various sides after leading the London club to the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League in just six months after taking over from Andre Villas-Boas.
