Ron Wilson?

What do you think of the former Sharks coach, and new Leafs coach Ron wilson. Will the leafs get better, or worse?....and why?

I can't stand him.  He plays favorites with players rather than how they do on the ice.  He isn't really vocal so don't expect much when it comes to supporting his players after a bad call.  Players excel when they play for coaches they like.  Care to guess why Marleau played so poorly for 3/4 of the season?  

The Leafs should get better, but it really depends on also who their GM will be and what offseason changes are made.  Be prepared tho....once you've reached the playoffs and make it as far as......oh, lets say the 2nd round.....don't expect to get any further......good luck with Wilson.

ron wilson is a good rebuilding coach but he will not get you passed the 2nd round

Wilson is a decent coach but his teams never go far.  There are better candidates out there for the Leafs, who have consistently under-achieved the past few years.  They don't need a coach who under-achieves too.

coming from a sharks fan i think they will get better but its going to take some time. Ron Wilson is a good coach but he's not the best. has it actually been confirmed that he took the job?

I liked Wilson, but I tend to down play the coaches more than most people.  The players ultimately determine who wins and loses.  The one thing I disliked about Wilson is he is always calm and passive looking like he doesn't care or isn't fired up.

can i just say that if cliff and them make this deal i'll uhm watch more marlies games next year. guaranteed. only thing i can think of. i'm so sad. stop talking about him.

i think wilson can get fired up...but he's not going to be the end all be all for this team. there's so much that needs to happen to the franchise that i can't even begin to comprehend why they're hiring him now. like they really think we're going to give him a free pass year for next year. i'm sure all the writers are cued up to start the bashing 1st september.
