RonJons Surf Park ?

Question

soo what do u guys think about this new park opening in orlando florida ? tell me alll your opinions! heres the site talking all bout it. also im wayyy closer to it then the ocean.

Can't wait for it to open! The waves in South FL usually suck pretty bad.

I bet its going to be neat, but it won't replace the ocean for me. Most of what I love about surfing is NOT being confined. No walls, no rules, no limits (well no limits except at beaches where surfing is restricted to certain areas). I think I could have fun there, but I'd rather be in the ocean. Also, it may make some folks who learn how to surf there develop a false sense of security and cause them to be over confident if/when they surf in the ocean. Unfortunately, tor many folks with poor water skills, who need to be rescued, cause local government to enact draconian, restrictive anti-surfing rules.

The Ron Jon label is legendary in the surf business, so I'm sure they will do the best possible job that can be done with this enterprise.
