Ronald Koeman, the Rotterdammers head coach, was not entirely pleased with his side’s display on the pitch, especially in the opening half, and revealed that the Rotterdam giants failed to stage an aggressive show.

Koeman revealed that he urged his troops to remain positive about getting a good result until the full time whistle, and they did well to bag a point at the end.
“During the rest of the game I passed the message to the guys to stay in the game as long as possible because FC Groningen missed opportunities. We knew that situations could arise where there were opportunities for us. With a good attitude, we still achieved
a draw and that is a compliment to the team”, Koeman concluded.
