Following the 2010 World Cup runners-up humiliating elimination, Van Marwijk had to face severe criticism from the fans, players and media, which eventually forced him to step down from his coaching position.
Koeman, who was rumoured to be the leading candidate for the vacant http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, mooted all the speculations, and revealed that he will remain at De Kuip Stadion while naming Gullit as the perfect choice for Netherlands.
“It is not a secret that I have the ambition to coach Netherlands. But I have a contract with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 and there is a not a clause that will allow me to leave. I will coach Feyenoord next season that is for sure. Ruud Gullit? He would be a good choice”,
the former Dutch international was quoted as saying to the Dutch media.
Gullit, who started his coaching career at Stamford Bridge as a player-manager in 1996, has been without a club since being sacked from the Russian outfit, Terek Grozny, head coach position in June 2011.
Apart from guiding http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 to an FA Cup triumph in 1997, the 49-year-old has not enjoyed success with any of the clubs he managed. His best stint in terms of winning percentage happens to be at De Kuip Stadion in the 2004/05 season during which he won 25

After going through the Dutchman’s coaching career, Koeman’s belief in him seems to be very surprising.
