http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 Rotterdam head coach, Ronald Koeman, has expressed confidence about making progression to UEFA Champions League group stages despite being drawn against the toughest side, Dynamo Kiev, in the lot.
The Rotterdam giants had an impressive 2011/12 season, and finished second on the Eredivisie table to participate in the Europe’s most prestigious club competition preliminary stages.
Koeman was hoping to be drawn against one of the weaker sides in the hut, which included Romanian outfit Vaslui and Scottish Premier League side, Motherwell. However, luck played its part, and the fallen Eredivisie giants have now been drawn against the
toughest side of the preliminary round of the Champions League.
Yuri Syomin, the Ukrainian side boss, has recently added some quality players in his squad including the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Ruben-c23740, and the Rotterdammers manager knows that it will not be an easy task to emerge victorious against
Syomin’s men.

They are a team with experience in Europe and a team that is always competing for a place in the Champions
League. Therefore, it's a very difficult draw”, Koeman was quoted as saying to the media.
The former Ajax Amsterdam boss, who took over the managerial hot seat at De Kuip Stadion in the summer of 2011 from Mario Been, has expressed confidence that his side can progress through to the participate in the group stages of the competition.
“Kiev have already started their national competition, that may be an advantage to us. We have two weekends to watch their games. I don't know if we can compete against them, I'm curious about that. I always see chances for our team, no matter who we play”,
Koeman concluded.
Feyenoord will lock horns against Dynamo Kiev in a double-header tie on July 31 and August 7.
