What is staying at the Ronald McDonald house like? Is it private room with two beds or one? Do you have your own shower or do you have to share? Please tell me everything about staying at the RM House. I might stay there for one night and I would like to know what you think about it.

  1. I have stayed in one.   I was grateful for a hot shower, after sleeping in a hospital chair for a few days.

But, yes, the showers, kitchen and laundry facilities are shared.

My room had a double bed and a bunk bed.

Since you only need one night stay in a hotel.    There are families who have children in the hospital for MONTHS and they seriously need not only the space, but the support of each other and a little respite from the hospital 24/7 routine.

It sounds like these are not things you really need.

  2. All the houses are set up differently.  You should ask these questions directly to the house you would be staying in.  The houses are a wonderful service for families with children in hospitals.  Most are very thankful for being allowed to have a place to stay for free.  Maybe you need to get a motel room & leave the space for someone else.

I hope your child will be fine.

  3. For one night, what do you care?

The houses are not all the same
