  1. Many conservatives loved him because he revitalized the Conservative movement. He is also one of the first politicians of his era to tap into the religious voters. However, if you were to talk to many people that were poor during this time, they would say he did nothing for them. He also closed down all of the St. Elizabeth's, which were mental instituitons. This allowed for many people who didn't need to roam the streets the free will too. Reagan did nothing for me!

  2. Reagan, a self-described "hemophiliac liberal", Hollywood Grade B actor, that got work as a speaker on the GE radio show. He gave speeches and met the workers at the GE plants. His purpose was to go over the union leaders to speak directly to the workers. His mentor was Boulware. The thinking was, they could convince the workers that the profit margins at GE were small indeed and thus be less inclined to strike or make excessive demands. It was during those years as a speaker that Reagan converted to conservatism.

GE is one of the nation's largest military contractors and charges what price they want for their goods and services.

Chum of the Elite. He was the Teflon President.

  3. Well he promised us that his tax cuts would be the first real raise for the working class in years.  Mine was one dollar and 40 cents a WEEK.  I have always wondered what he considered the working class.  It was sure as h**l a higher financial class than I was in.  If that helps any.

  4. Let's put it this way, while he was Gov of California, he declared ketsup a vegetable for the school lunches.

Sounds more like "let them eat cake"

  5. He was the perfect person for the job for the top 2% of this country......

He was not very bright and was easily manipulated to the bidding of the corporations.

The Gipper was not a good thing for America..... and now these last eight years of George Bush has proven that Reagan was the practice run and Bush was the final cut!

Many of our problems today can be attributed to at least these three things Reagan and his people did:

    1) Firing the Air Traffic controllers (Union breaking)

    2) Iran/Contra (Hostages held until after the election)

    3) Tearing down the solar panels from the White House that Jimmy Carter had had put up. (Gotta love that $4.30 gallon of gas)

  6. He was a sleeping idiot.

  7. He was senile,,,,,unaware of either group.

  8. "Politics is suppose to be the 2nd oldest profession, I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first. President Reagan.

  9. he was a puppet and he broke american labor unions

  10. He was an idiot.

  11. Ronnie ReaGUN was no friend of the poor - he was a fool!!

  12. He was a friend of the American people. No President should be a friend of the poor or elite. No President should pander to any group of people, they should treat us all as Americans. That is the problem in this country, we have been divided into groups of rich or poor, religious or non-religious, g*y or straight. It has to stop!

All Presidents and the Congress should first ask themselves if they are a friend of our Constitution before they submit or pass any legislation.

P.S.  I wonder if all the thumbs down is because they didn't like Reagan or they don't like the Constitution? Hmmmm
