Ronaldinho in line with a return to Paris Saint-Germain – Ligue 1 report
Reports in French media suggest that former World Player of the Year, Brazilian international Ronaldinho could be in line with a return to former club Paris Saint-Germain in the upcoming winter transfer window.
The attacking midfielder played for the Ile giants from 2001 to 2003 where he scored 17 goals in 55 games for PSG before joining http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 where he went on to become one of the greatest clubs the Catalan club has ever seen.
However, since moving to Brazilian side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Flamengo-c39361 in the beginning of 2011, the Brazilian has attracted a lot of controversy. Though he has scored 13 goals in 26 games for the Brazilian outfit, the jury is still out on the player.
Reports in French media and Spanish media now suggest that PSG are considering making a move for the talented midfielder with a view to increase the side’s attacking prowess and depth. There are rumours suggesting that the Brazilian would not say no to a
return to Paris where he first came under the European scene.
Furthermore, PSG sporting director http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 is a big fan of the player having managed him during his stint as the manager of Italian Serie A side AC Milan.
The tricky part of the deal could be Ronaldinho’s release clause which is set at 160 million Euros. However, this could be negotiated as they Brazilian has outstanding wages of three months which could instigate an exit from Flamengo.
The 31-year-old is also keen on returning to European football and a move to PSG would certainly be a good one for the Brazilian who would be expected to play a major part in PSG’s reformation to one of the best clubs in European football.
Wages would also not be a major concern as the new owners of the club (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Investment Authority) have shown that they can flex their financial muscles in order to sign their targets.
With rumours suggesting that Leonardo has 120 million Euros at his disposal for the upcoming winter transfer window, the news of Ronaldinho’s return to PSG is certainly not a surprise as PSG are willing to review the profiles of all stars even if they are
in the final stages of their careers. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432 of LA Galaxy is probably the biggest example of this case.
