Ronaldinho’s agent says that the player has no plans of abandoning AC Milan
Well if the confirmation of the President and the Vice President was not enough for the football clubs around the world, Ronaldinho’s agent, who also happens to be his brother, has announced there is no chance of the star Brazilian striker leaving AC Milan for another club.
Rumours are supporting reports that the star AC Milan attacking midfielder is leaving San Siro for another team which has offered chests of money for him, but Ronaldinho’s brotherly agent Roberto De Assis has clarified the situation saying that the player is not making a move and will continue to stay at the Italian club.
The 30 year old has flared up the flames of his rumours after his recent travels and comments. They have denied from the flared situation and sources have revealed that the players close friends have also presented mutual verdicts about Ronaldinho’s future with the Il Diavolo.
However the speculation has caused much hype in the football world and a proper press conference from the player himself it seems is what is left to clear out the matter. De Assis has relayed that he has talked to his brother in detail about the matter and he has told him that he has no intentions of leaving the Devils at the moment.
While talking to media the Brazilian striker agent stated, “There are no problems for Ronaldinho, he will stay at Milan. He is under contract and his adventure there has been great”. He added, “And I don't think the club wants to sell him. There is a full will to remain on Ronaldinho's part. Dinho's deal expires in 2011, but there have been ideas of a 2014 extension thrown around”.
Since the start of the summer there has been speculation that the Brazilian international will switch allegiance for another team and in reality teams have bid for him after that. The season of 2009-10 was pretty good for Ronaldinho; he had 43 appearances in which he scored 15 times but the impressive factor was that he had been assisting other strikers too and had produced 17 assists.
On the other hand his career for Brazil has been marvellous too but not in the 2010 World Cup. He has 32 goals in 87 caps for the Selecao but he was omitted in the selection of the squad for the 2010 World Cup by their sacked coach Dunga.
Dunga had to face severe criticism because of this as he spoiled the traditional Brazilian game of attack and lost against Netherlands in the quarter finals. Many say that had Brazilian been added in to the squad a very different story would have been told. They have even said that Brazil would have easily managed their 6th World Title without much hindrance.
During the summers the star was seen running around a beach in his trunks and let us just stay that he did not seem in shape. His appearance in Brazil has led to speculation that he might be making a move to a Brazilian team but there is quite a lot of interest shown in him by Major League Soccer teams too, especially LA Galaxy.
The head coach of AC Milan, Massimiliano Allergi has already stated that the player will be at the club at least till 2011 and he has no intentions of parting with before that. The President of the club Silvio Berlusconi has expressed the same intentions saying that he sees no reason why anyone would suggest that Ronaldinho is departing from the club.
The Vice President Adriano Galliani had same claims, he voiced, “He is a Milan player, we will not give him up, and the hypothesis should not even be considered. He has never asked to be transferred. He will remain at Milan next season and I hope even longer. It's true Galaxy are interested in him. After David Beckham, they want another star but Galaxy will have to wait for many more years”.
