"I'm not friends with him because we don't share the same dressing room. I respect him like a professional. We're not real friends, just friends through our profession. There are no issues between the two of us.”
The 27-year-old feels that it is the media which always creates these issues. He believes this trend has been going for the past five years and that it is something that he has to live with since he doesn’t have any control over it.
"It's [issues being created] not just now, its been the same for the last five years. I can't control it."
The two players failed to score goals in their last matches in La Liga. Los Blancos won 4-0 against Zaragoza, while Barca defeated Celta Vigo 3-1.
Regardless of their rivalry and relationship status, the former world player of the year will be hoping to keep his cylinders firing all the time and help his side to retain their La Liga title this season.
Real Madrid are currently on the third spot and are still eight points behind leaders, Barcelona.
