Jose Mourinho and the officials at Santiago Bernabéu seem to be pleased with the rate at which Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be recovering.
The 26-year-old Portuguese international was injured last week as he suffered a left hamstring injury in the La Liga encounter with Malaga. The star scored a hat-trick in the fixture, but had to be benched in the last 15 minutes after he got injured.
According to local media reports, Ronaldo seems to be making a quick recovery and even though the medical officers at Santiago Bernabéu had initially said that they had ruled out the Portuguese for at least 10 to 15 days before he could even be considered
to play.
The youngster has shocked the staff and rumours are that he might just be featuring in the upcoming Real Madrid fixture against Hercules.
However, a manager like Jose Mourinho understands the importance of a player like Cristiano Ronaldo and there is no way that Mourinho is expected to call him onto the field unless he has completely recovered from the injury. Mourinho will make sure Ronaldo
is 100 percent fit and is in the best shape to play, so that he does not have a relapse of the injury.
Therefore, the player is expected to make an appearance in Real’s next Champions League match-up with French club Lyon.
The fans at Santiago Bernabéu will, however, be hoping that their beloved star returns soon to help the club achieve success in their second UEFA match as the first leg ended with the score boards reading one-all for both the teams.
