The Brazilian legend believes that in order to get more exposure, the Santos youngster, Neymar, should leave Brazil and play football in Europe.
The Brazilian legend recently spoke about how Neymar should leave Brazil in order to get more exposure in the footballing world.
Neymar is considered to be having a lot of potential and can easily be regarded as one of the most talented upcoming talents in not only South America, but also the world.
This is one of the reasons why several elite European clubs want to sign the Santos forward and teams such as Real Madrid and Barcelona are already monitoring his situation in the Brazilian club.
While there have been many speculations surrounding Neymar’s departure from Santos, the Brazilian attacker has claimed that he wants to stay in Brazil until his contract expires with his current club.
On the other hand, the Brazilian legend, Ronaldo, has claimed that Neymar is delaying his development as a footballer and he should leave Brazil and join an elite European club.
While speaking about his fellow countryman, Neymar, Ronaldo said:
“Neymar is delaying his development as a football by not playing in Europe.”
Ronaldo also claimed that Neymar can easily challenge Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for the ‘best player’ award, but in order to do that, he has to prove himself in Europe.
“His ambition is to be the best in the world, so the natural thing would be for him to go to Europe and play with a great team where he can compete with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi for that title.”
Ronaldo himself was a player who started his career from Brazil and was a young talent in the South American country. However, he later joined elite European sides and managed to become one of the best strikers in the history of the world.
His goal-scoring record still stands in the FIFA World Cup and the only player who has managed to come close to beating his goal-scoring tally it is the German star striker, Miroslav Klose.
Ronaldo has played for both the Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, during his career.
