The two football legends who played together for Real Madrid, are set to take on the field in UEFA’s 10th Match Against Poverty on 19 December at the Gremio Arena in Porto Alegre, Brazil
Two legends of the modern game, Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane, have invited some of the best players in the world in a bid to feature in a All-Star line-up for the 10th UEFA Match Against Poverty, that will take place on the 19th of December
this year at Gremio Arena in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
The two former World Cup winners are United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) goodwill ambassadors and each star captain’s a team of superstars for the friendly match which aims to mobilise masses in the fight against poverty.

“The struggle against poverty is not a game. But we use this match to raise both funds and awareness that the solution is in everyone’s hands. Working together, we will all be winners in the Match Against Poverty.”
The game would present former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international, Zinedine Zidane his first opportunity to play in Brazil. And, the former Juventus star is excited at the prospect of playing against his former teammate and his friends.
"Although it will be a friendly match, I very much look forward to playing against my old friend in Porto Alegre," he said.
The previous nine Matches Against Poverty have been staged in Basle, Madrid, Dusseldorf, Marseille, Malaga, Fez, Lisbon, Athens and Hamburg.

Former Italian referee, Pierluigi Collina, who is now UEFA’s chief refereeing officer, is looking forward to officiating his ninth Match Against Poverty and says that it’s not easy to host a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Charity-c38784 event to its tenth anniversary.
