Ronaldo and other hated people in football today
First on the list we have Michel Platini, there is just something peculiar about the French footballing legend that ticks people off. The hatred towards the once great midfielder is of such a high standard that, when he was admitted into a hospital for a suspected heart attack, it made people angry.
The fact that Dider Drogba has been an immense footballing figure and has been spectacular for his national side, while helping stop a civil war from occurring in the country has done very little to make people like him. He might have raised countless dollars for the poor but his antics, theatrics and diving earns him most people’s hate. He knows of this fact but uses it to his advantage.
Gary Neville, has by far one of the most slapable faces in the world of football. His constant cursing and ticking off of opposition fans, has earned him their hatred. There are some Manchester United fans who feel his over the top dedication for the team kind of gets annoying after a while.
John Terry, has a career flooded with controversies off the pitch. He has countless rumors of doing countless things with countless people. These allegations saw him lose out his captaincy to the national team. Most people blame him for being the main reason that England did so bad in South Africa. He is hated by far more people than he is liked.
Adebayor started to appear on everyone’s hate scale because of the way he tired to develop his move out of Arsenal. He initially told everyone he didn’t plan on leaving the team, but decided to play far worse than a toddler in the coming season, he spent major parts of games just hanging around and taking to himself. He was then eventually sold to Manchester City. When he scored against his former employees he decided to showboat in front of the Arsenal fans. Emmanuel Adebayor managed to give all the City player a bad name that day.
Another former Arsenal player who has made the list is Ashley Cole. He left Arsenal in a controversial situation, because he happened to run into a number of Chelsea officials who coincidently offered him bucket loads of money. To add to it he managed to go public about his marriage problems which saw him part ways with Cheryl Cole. He apparently can’t take the torment anymore and is planning on a move away to Madrid, where he hopes to find a whole a new crowd of people who hate him.
Cristiano Ronaldo is no doubt a football genius, there is also no doubt that his self obsession has caused millions to think of him as a s*****k. He just named his son Ronaldo junior, which says a lot about the man. The ease with which he almost breaks his leg every time he is tackled has caused a lot of fans to get infuriated by the player. He recently told a journalist that, “maybe someday, someone will kill you” this has to every one’s surprise not added to his likeability factor at all.
