http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Czech-Republic-c2882 by one goal to nil in the quarter finals of the Euro 2012.
The Real Madrid super star started off the competition on the back foot, as he failed to score a goal in his opening two games.
In the game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denmark-c2884, where he missed two one on ones and seemed to look nothing like the player that he was.
In the game against Denmark, the Danish fans kept chanting Lionel Messi’s names whenever he would touch the ball.
On his way off the pitch, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 seemed to be in a completely different mind set and something seemed to be going on in the players head.
He even went on to lash out at the fans while leaving the pitch, as he taunted Messi and said: “You know where he was at this time [last year]? Do you know? He was being eliminated in the Copa http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390, in his own country. I think that’s worse, no?”
However, it seems like those taunts and chants from the fans seemed to spur the forward on. In the game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 he seemed to be more focused then he had ever been in the past and every time he touched the ball, it looked like he was bound to do something with it.
He went on to score two goals and hit the post on two occasions, as he turned around a one goal to nil deficit into a two goals to one win for his side.
He then went on to take this form and belief into the game against the Czechs and following a very tame performance from both teams, the forward started to break loose.
He tested the keeper on a number of occasions and in the last few minutes of the game, he went on to score the only goal of the game.
After scoring, he went on to taunt all the fans who criticized him, as he chanted Messi’s name, before blowing a kiss to them.
All in all, it seems like Ronaldo thrives under the comparison of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 and should he keep feeling the same way, with the fans constantly on his back he could turn into a one man army, who helps his side win the Euro 2012.
