The Real Madrid star has threatened to leave the Spanish giants if his contract is not upgraded, following Lionel Messi’s signing of a new deal at F.C Barcelona.

Ronaldo’s contract at Real has never seen extension or improvement, whereas Messi’s contract has been upgraded for at least 6 times with the Catalan giants, and this has caused Ronaldo to demand for a more lucrative deal from his employers.
Ronaldo has done extremely well for his club since joining and his goal scoring exploits speak bundles in his favour.
The Portuguese attacker has netted in 169 goals in as many appearances for the Madrid outfit and is continuing to perform at the same level, may be even better.
Ronaldo and Messi are both going head to head in contention for the FIFA Ballon d’Or award, which is to be distributed on January 7th, 2013.
