The Madridista has conceded that his national side are likely to face difficulty as he tipped Spain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 to win the Euro 2012.
Real Madrid’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 are bound to suffer due to the fact that they have been drawn in the toughest group of the competition.
This year’s Euro is set to take place in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 in the summer, with the finest teams from across the continent coming forth to attain the silverware in Europe’s most prestigious competition.
Portugal have been drawn in Group B of the Euro championships. Their opponents in this group are Germany, Netherlands and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denmark-c2884. Without much contradiction, the group is claimed to be the ‘group of death.’
It is not hard to point out that the competition in Group B will be immense and all of these teams will face a constant threat of being eliminated before reaching the knock-out stages.
Denmark and Portugal have been tipped as the underdogs in this group as Netherlands and Germany have proven to be footballing powerhouses during the tournament’s qualifying stage.
Not only were the Dutch massively successful in the qualifiers, they are also the finalists from the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which was won by Spain.
On the other hand, Germany maintained a perfect record throughout their qualifying campaign and look ready as ever for the championship.
While talking to reporters, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 was quoted as saying:
"http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926, Portugal, why not? But the first three have the great chance to win: Spain, Germany and Netherlands. We don’t have a lot pressure. The pressure is for Spain, Germany, Netherlands. But not Portugal.
We have to enjoy it, to do the best we can, and let’s see what is going to happen. It will be very difficult."
"For me it’s the most difficult group in the Euros. It will be very tough for Portugal, but for the other teams too.”
Portugal will begin their Euro campaign against Germany at Arena Lviv on 9th June.
