Philippines’ Ronel Estanislao and Paul Jefferson Vivas won the Men’s Doubles title after beating Sonny Boy Montilla and John Greg Paz in the final of the 2011 MVP Sports Foundation Bingo Bonanza, on Wednesday, August 3, at Davao City, Philippines.
Estanislao and Paul Jefferson delivered a superb performance in the title-match by playing flawless badminton against Sonny Boy and John Greg, who were not playing at their best and lost the match to the higher ranked shuttlers in straight games without
putting up a strong resistance.
Estanislao and Paul Jefferson played planned and aggressive badminton in the final battle and finished it in straight games by taking just 20 minutes in the court. The start of the opening game was interesting, where both sides grabbed the attention of the
local crowd by playing to their maximum speed. However, Estanislao and Paul Jefferson started to build pressure on their rivals by playing an effective game at the net.
Sonny Boy and John Greg lost their focus after playing well in the opening points. They started to make mistakes by playing wrong shots, which helped their challengers to get into a strong position in the opening set. Until the interval, Estanislao and Paul
Jefferson established a wonderful lead by going ahead at 11-6.

and pushed them on the defensive position.
The top seeds eventually won the second game with a stunning score of 21-11 in just 9 minutes. The final score of this straight-set title battle was 21-13 and 21-11.
