Ronnie Brown?

Question

This guy was amazing before he went down and i knew by the way people were drafting (rookies) that he would remain on the board. I picked him with like the 80th pick, so do you think he could become a force once again maybe overtake my current #2 back Willis Mcgahee? (Solid not spectacular)

You got a steal at pick 80!  I like Brown better than McGahee.  Mia. now has Parcells.  Parcells is about running the ball and will get the OL that he needs.  R.B. has mass talent and is still young.  good pick!

I think you definitely got a steal! Remember also that this is a Parcells/Sparano team with a run-first mentality. I believe if healthy, Brown will pick up where he left off in 2007 before the injury. That's outstanding production to get from the #80 pick.

I don't think Brown is going to have as good of a year this year as last year since Cam Cameron is gone.  Remember what Cameron did with Gates and Tomlinson before Brown.  With that said, he was an absolute steal with the 80th pick.  It's getting much harder to pick backs that aren't part of committees in the NFL.  I don't think Ricky Williams is going to get many carries, not even at the goal line, so Brown is a solid pick.  I think McGahee is going to have an even better year this year, since the Ravens got Cameron and bulked up the line.  However, with the retirement of Ogden, they may not be as consistant in protection.

I would start Brown. He has more upside than mcgahee. He could be a bust, but he has had enough time to heal and i think he's gonna be a beast this year. He had 602 yards rushing, 4 TD's, and a 5 yard average last year in 7 games. Mcgahee is just going to give you decent numbers, but brown can dominate and be a number 1 back this year. So go with Brown, i think he's healed enough to dominate again.
