Ronnie O’Sullivan and Jimmy White battle in five 2012 Snooker Legends clashes
Reigning World Snooker Champion, England’s Ronnie O’Sullivan performed superbly in the previous snooker season and was able to claim the 2012 World Snooker Championship title beating Ali Carter by the score line of 18-11.
The Englishman showed his top notch skills to oust his opponent. However, after that he disappeared from the scene because he refused to sign the new season contract with World Snooker and decided to have a break before starting his new season campaign.
His brawl with the snooker governing body apart, the potter will be appearing in snooker clashes in October. The Rocket will be facing the former six-time World Snooker Championship runner up, Jimmy White in five clashes of the 2012 Snooker Legends invitational
snooker tournaments. These matches will commence in October and will be supervised by the world renowned Michaela Tabb.
This event is being considered as the return of the legendary cueman, O’Sullivan. He has been away from international snooker since the start of the new snooker season. So far he has missed two major ranking snooker events of 2012 Wuxi Classic and the 2012
Australian Goldfields Open snooker event.
While speaking to the local media, O’Sullivan said, “I’m looking forward to playing in front of some great crowds, it’s always a good buzz playing Jimmy and we want to put on a great show!”
The Whirlwind, Jimmy White added, “It’s great to be doing some more shows with Ronnie, the 147 maximum break in Croydon a few weeks ago in front of such a large crowd was amazing.”
The clashes will definitely be interesting and entertaining for the spectators present at the different venues. The management of the Snooker Legends Cup is expecting large presence of the snooker fans at the venues. The first match will be played at the
Broadway Theatre, Catford on October 9.
The details of the venues are given below.

Wednesday 10th October ‐ The Hexagon Theatre, Reading.
Wednesday 17th October ‐ The Corn Exchange, Ipswich.
Thursday 18th October ‐ The Civic Hall, Bedworth.
