Ronnie O’Sullivan hails Stuart Bingham for his good game in 2012 Wuxi Classic
Still the issue between the four-time World Snooker Championship winner, Ronnie O’Sullivan and snooker governing body, the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association is underway. The Englishman has given several suggestions
to the body to revive the snooker rules so that players can play easily in the new season.
However, the association does not agree to his proposals and is sticking to their basic rules about the increased number of tournaments and Wild Card entries. Recently the Englishman expressed his desire to take part in the new snooker
season saying that he will take part in the 2012 Shanghai Masters snooker event if the tournament organisers give him a wild card entry.
Despite his personal issues with the association and World Snooker Chairman, Barry Hearn, O’Sullivan has his eyes on the ongoing snooker competitions. Recently he watched England’s Stuart Bingham playing in the 2012 Wuxi Classic snooker
tournament. He did witness that the 2011 Australian Goldfields Open snooker event winner playing up to the mark in the event and believes that he is going to be one of the top guns of the game.
While speaking to the local media about Bingham, O’Sullivan said, “Some players are in it only for the money, want to be a celebrity and are happy coming second. I don’t, I’m a winner. I would sign the contract tomorrow for no more
money if I didn’t have to do all the extra things, arrive four days early at an event, or sign autographs until 2am.”
Bingham will be heading to Bendigo Stadium, Australia to take part in the 2012 Australian Goldfields Open event where he will be facing his 2012 Wuxi Classic snooker event opponent, Ricky Walden. He will be looking to put in a good
performance in the event.
The fans will be looking forward to see Ronnie sign the contract so that he can participate in some of the upcoming snooker events of the new season. It will be interesting to see how Bingham can build up some confidence and improve
his techniques to become more competitive and take on some of the top guns of snooker.
