Ronnie O’Sullivan ready for next PTC Event at South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester
Players Tour Championship (PTC) Event 1 saw a dramatic return of The Rocket, Ronnie O’Sullivan, as he grabbed the title, defeating Joe Perry in the final. Ronnie has not only found his form back but
also his love for the game. Now he is eager to play the next PTC event at the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester, starting from August 8.
A tremendous run by the Essex Exocet in the first event of PTC has ignited a new spark into his cue and he is now ready to make his presence felt. The three-time world champion is currently practicing
at the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester and hopes the second PTC event will be yet another high for him.
While speaking to the local media at the academy, O’Sullivan said, "I can't wait to play a tournament here. It's a fabulous place. This season I am only entering events I am committed to playing in
and I've entered the PTC here."
About his run in the first PTC event and his aims in the current season, the Wordsley potter said, "My game wasn't too bad. Everyone was a bit rusty as it was the first event, but I'm just having
a go and doing my best. This season is a big season for me. I'm going to see if I can improve. It's a work in progress but I feel optimistic."
Despite a controversial season last year, Ronnie has not decided to quit the game yet. Instead, he has joined his snooker mates with new determination and is committed to bring his glory back.
Joe Perry, on the other hand, is feeling great despite losing his first PTC final and has joined On Q Promotions management to improve his game a bit more. He joined his mates, Mark Allen, Gerard
Greene and Jimmy White, who are all being managed by the same management company. Perry believes that joining On Q Promotions will definitely help him take his game in a positive direction.
Perry is sharpening his cue for his first qualifier match of 2011 Australian Goldfields Open against Fergal O’Brien, while O’Sullivan will be waiting for his opponent in the first round at the Bendigo
Stadium arena.
