  1. man

if you not able to tide your boards, try another sport!! Haole!!

  2. I take usually take my fins off but when I'm lazy I leave them on facing up and forward

  3. The safest bet is fins up and forward, that way if one strap fails, the board slides back and gets stopped by the fin, without first breaking your windshield. I drive thousands of miles a year with two, three or four surfboards on top of my Suburban, and that is the way I have been racking my boards for years.

I started car topping my boards on my '67 Impala, and somebody told me that was the way to do it, and that I have, ever since.

  4. There's no hard and fast rule but I do fins on, up and forward.  In case your straps come a little loose and your board starts to slide the fins will catch it.

  5. when I tie my baord on I have it in a bag cover so it doesn't get all dinged up. Then I have it fins faceing up (I usually take mine off just for saftey reasons) then when you have the board on take the ties and wrap it around the board and the racks it also depends how many roof ties you have with you

  6. use a board bag
