Roofing sealant?

Question

I have Installed my roof on my home. " Addition ". I have already put tar on the seams , but I can't put singles on until 2 weeks. thats when My electrian comes in and removes the meter box , to put it on the new side of the peice that I builded on .. So I just wanted to protect to wood from the rain ... I thought about a big tarp but Would like to know what someone else would do. Thanks

Put "Tar paper and metal edge on NOW.  and why can't you roof it .... is the  electric box on the roof???

do this...take 6 mil poly and go up the pole about 2 ft...wrap it around the neck of the pole and duct tape it to the pole leave enough of the plastic to take down to the roof and i assume u have tar paper or shingles installed on the rest of the roof, tuck the plastic under this and seal......when we do remods we do this to the power neck.......it will hold for about 3 or 4 days....... and then check it and retape if needed.....
