My pick:

Anthony Randolph

He has shown that he can score

Greg Oden has just comeback from a big time injury,

Michael Beasly won't get the ball that much,

Derick Rose showed me in the summer league that he is still RAW.

  1. For sure, the rookie of the year is gonna be a blazer.  Im not saying it's going to be Greg Oden though.  I think it could actually be Jerryd Bayless.  He proved himself in the summer league but then again, the summer league doesnt prove anything.

  2. Greg Oden for sure. No question homie.

His talents will be highlighted with B Roy, Aldridge, and Bayless. Blazers are going to be GIANTS next year. Watch out.

  3. Summer league means NOTHING, remember Marco Bellinelli in the summer league? He was a beast.

I think Michael Beasley is the favorite with OJ Mayo being a strong runner.

The Heat have no real talent apart from Wade and I think Beasley will be the 2nd option over Marion. He has shown he can be a huge rebounder and can score nearly at will and will have tons of opportunites with teams trying to rotate double teams between him,Wade, and Marion. His stats? A Mix between Durant and Horford's rookie seasons I'd say.

OJ Mayo is the runner up I think. He's on a team with zero talent and will touch the ball on a majority of the plays. He'll be required to score alot and will be able to rack up assists by passing out of doubleteams. He's capable of being a PG and his rebounding ain't shabby either. Don't let his Summer League numbers fool you, this guy wasn't a stud since 7th grade for nothing

And yes for the Blazers :)

  4. I dont think Randoplh is going to win it

    Michael Beasley will

and no im not a Blazers fan

im a Jazz and Heat's fan

  5. im not a blazer fan, but im going with jerryd baylesss.

  6. Beasley. he might be prince beasley after king james.lol

  7. danilo galinari(THE ROOSTER)

  8. im pretty sure oden isnt considered a rookie

  9. Eric Gordon

  10. O J Mayo or Kevin Love.

  11. im a warriors fan but i dont think randolph will be a rookie of the year.

its gonna be some random guy like dj augustine

  12. Greg Oden has the best chance. He's mostly recovered from the injury and he's made the same progress that Amare Stoudamire had at this point when he had the same injury.

There was no one in this year's draft who screams "star" when you hear about them or watch them. Oden has the potential to be amazing.

Centers thrive in the system that is played in Portland. It's kind of run-and-gun, but not to the extreme of Dantoni's. In Phoenix, it made both Stoudamire and Shaq improve offensively. In Portland, it even made Przybilla improve a bit. Oden should get the ball plenty of times.

Lastly, he's incredibly strong. Strong centers are generally always good defensively. He adjusted to playing defense easily in college and I see no reason why he can't adjust to guarding mostly weaker centers in the NBA.

  13. beasley

  14. oj mayo

  15. I'm not Blazers Fan. I'm Bulls. And Derrick Rose will get it. Greg Oden was a cheap @$$. he shouldnt be a rookie.

  16. By the start of the regular season, Greg Oden will have been one hundred percent recovered from surgery for about six months. That's a non-factor. Oden is my pick.

  17. I'm going for No. 2!

Michael Beasley, proved that he can score, and that's all that matters.

I know that Randolph had an impressive summer league, but the summer league doesn't prove anything.

Greg Oden will come really close, but he isn't as good as Beasley.

I think Dwyane Wade will realize that he has Marion, he has Beasley, (whom he'll definetely pass the ball too!) If they can average about 20 ppg, (along with Wade's usual 25 ppg), we'll see the Heat once again battling in the NBA finals.

  18. Greg Oden will get it because he will make a big time impact on the defensive end...

"Michael Beasly won't get the ball that much,"

LOL...you must be kidding me right?

    I'm a Blazer fan...

  19. Greg Oden

  20. Michael Beasly duh lol. And you said he won't get the ball much? Who else is there to score for the Heat besides Dwayne "The Flash" Wade,Shawn Marion, and Beasly...Greg Oden will probably be runner up tho..
