Rookie tennis player advice?

Question

So I've been playing tennis for about 4 months and try outs for the school team is in about 5 months, and I've been wondering if some of you guys could give me some tips on making the team. My instructor says Im doing great for my time playing but then again, he might just be saying that. Lol

PS. Im entering a JR Novice tournament too. Any advice?

Beat a school team member, and they will surely let you in. For your tournament,play your best so you won't regret. How about posting a video showing your play? Link to me and I'll give feedback. Oh yeah I'm 14 and a little inexperienced so forgive me if I make a mistake commenting.
