Room Ideas! Please help

Question

My Parents are letting me redo my room.They wont put in new carpet though.:( so I'm stuck with light pink carpet.I know that i want to redo my room with pink and Purple.I was thinking one wall pink one wall purple one pink one purple.Any ideas as to what specific coloror decor. or anything you have in mind wold be great! thanks!

Oh by the way i thinkI'mm going to do a loft for the bed like this but with nothing under it iwas goingg to put my computer under it. Thanks!

if you have pink carpet you might not want to do pink walls. if i were you i would keep the walls white and then have like a purple bed cover, it would look so much better than overwelming your room with pink.

The biggest question is what does your budget look like for the room in question?  If you don't like the carpet try a large area rug; lowes has really good prices on large area rugs.  Walls - perhaps the stripes as someone suggest but do it like a chair rail, run the stripes only up to about three feet and you could add some sort of crown molding so that the top of the lines don't have to be exact OR a wallpaper boarder.  I'd then paint the top walls a neutral color.  If you choose not to go with the pink and purple on the walls you can always use accents throughout the room to give it that punch.  Beads, accent pillows, chairs, throws and your bed ensemble.  I don't know what age you are so that kind of hinders my ideas nor do I know how much you have to spend.  Whenever I decorated my boys rooms they destroyed it! lol  I had a stepdaughter years ago that I decorated her room like a fantasy room.  I wrapped columns with poofy bunches of tulle with fake butterflies glued on wire tucked in to appear as if they were flying about and the bed was draped from above with tulle...I spent weeks on that room only to have the boys go in there when she was gone and they trashed it!  I was extremely upset.  Good luck with your decorating dilemma.

you might find this wierd but i think u should paint your room gray, then put wallpaper stickers on it, pink and white daises

try something animal print! like zebra or cheetah. they're really in right now. & also cute :)

i'd stick to a solid for the walls, not alternating from one wallt o another, or u could do stripes perhaps. with pink carpet though, best to stick with purple on the walls, unless ur gonna have a purple bedspread. i'd pick taht out first anyway, so u'll have something to match the paint to. any kinda pint u would like?maybe take something printed with pinka dn purple in it, purple being a minor, and match that purple to ur walls and add decore from there with pink furnishure as in the bed if possible(u can always paint furnishure) and some purple accents, and some more colors with wall decals or something?
