Room decorating help... cool teen room at a cheap price?

Question

I just moved to a new house(well actually, july 25)I dont know if i should repaint, but just 2 tell ya the walls r a very light blue colour. i want my room to be a cool teen girl's bedroom. Its medium sized ( some ppl say its big but w.e., and it has some short white curtains and a weird lighting thing (made for babies, my new house is from the 1970's, it even has a radio glued into the wall!) Anyways, can u list some stores and tell me how to design it

Heres what i am doing to my room. I picked my 2 favorite colors (dark pink and light blue)  and got some sheets that were blue, a white comferter, and a fuzzy darkpink blanket. My pillows are going to be dark pink. My walls are going to be white, light blue, and dark pink!!! thinking about doing ploka dots..

you could do a star theme.

buy a navy blue comforter (jcpennys or kohls or even walmart)

get glow in the dark star stickers and put them every where.

Oh this sounds great. I love 1970's fashion. Go along with a 1960-1970s theme because it will look perfect in your house! There are so many stores that contribute to the 60s-70s style. Teal and dandelion yellow fit the look, as well as red, fuschia, black, grey,  and white combined whichever way you know how. Anything bright, cheery and eclectic. I'd say pick a couple colors to mix and match with. I think urbanoutfitters.com has a lot of great accessories for your new room. check it out. I always pick a comforter or quilt for my bed to base my room off first. I don't know your style exactly but your room has a lot of potential.
